who we are
SAPP is the brainchild of Canadian poet Emily Molinari, and takes its name from the historic Sapperton District of New Westminster, British Columbia. SAPP aims to showcase local and emerging poets, photographers, and artists in a bi-annual e-zine. Limited print runs are available at various indie bookshops.
SAPP is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment. We aim to showcase diverse perspectives, and encourage writers and artists of historically marginalized communities to submit their work. We do not tolerate hate-speech of any kind, and are committed to fostering an environment that does not discriminate based on sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, ethnicity, disability, age, religion, or other factors.

SAPP’s editor, Emily (she/her/hers), identifies as a queer person living with mental illness. She holds a BA (Hons.) and BEd from Simon Fraser University, is a student of The Writer’s Studio (SFU), and will be pursuing an MA in the Fall of 2024. She lives, works, and plays in New Westminster, BC.
